Mike has more than 30 years of experience managing a variety of projects, from site development through construction close-out.

Mike has spent the majority of his career in the healthcare sector, managing the development and construction of skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care projects for national owner/operators.  This included ground-up construction of new facilities, additions to existing facilities, and large-scale renovation projects.  Additions and renovations all involved work within 24/7 operating facilities, requiring careful planning and coordination.  Also critical to the success of these highly regulated projects was compliance with the various state health department regulations in the more than two dozen states where projects were located.

Bringing this experience to Beacon Bay, Mike sees many similarities between senior living and hospitality projects.  He believes that ultimately, regardless of the product, a successful project stems from relationships – people working together towards a common goal.  Together with such elements as tried and true processes, a focus on customer service, and sound decision-making, project goals can be achieved.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mike earned a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from Pennsylvania State University.  He now resides in suburban Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC.  He is the proud father of two daughters.
