Darwin Brumley Joins Beacon Bay

Beacon Bay Project Management is excited to announce the addition of Darwin Brumley as its Vice President, Project Management.

Darwin joins Beacon Bay with a reputation of being a highly skilled executive. He has valuable insight and hands-on experience in renovation and ground-up construction management, hotel operations and hotel acquisitions.

Darwin brings over 25 years of well-rounded Hospitality experience managing over $250M in projects. His roles have evolved from Front Office to various executive operational positions such as General Manager and Vice President of Design and Construction. Darwin’s Certified Hotel Administrator designation and his experience in the hotel industry give him a unique appreciation and understanding of what it takes to make a hotel successful. He has a love for the industry and true enthusiasm for what the transformation process can bring.

Darwin comes to Beacon Bay after 16 years with Auro Hotels, a successor to JHM Hotels, where he was most recently the Vice President of Design and Construction. In this capacity, Darwin was responsible for all renovation and ground-up construction management. He negotiated property improvement plans, new acquisitions and due diligence reports. He directed and managed all project managers, superintendents and accountants.

Darwin spent 9 years with Marshall Management prior to this as General Manager first, and then Regional Vice President of Operations. Here, he was responsible for day-to-day hotel operations and special projects including: hotel acquisitions, site surveys, national account negotiations and policy & procedure implementation.

Originally from Montana and keenly aware that farming was not in his future, Darwin joined the Navy days after graduating high school and headed to boot-camp in San Diego. His tenure in the Navy gave Darwin a taste for what the rest of the Country has to offer.

Classic Rock is Darwin’s music of choice, and in his spare time he dabbles with the guitar, but his true passion is playing the drums. And, during football season, you’ll find him rooting on the South Carolina Gamecocks.
